Abstract

Direct Manipulation (Shneiderman 1993) at interface and application levels poses common requirements including sophisticated graphics, commands given at any time, different ways to give the same command, multiple input and output devices, complex dialogues, fast and continuous prompt/feedback and non static interfaces.
