Abstract

A total of 18 eclectic essays by Graham examine complex cultural relationships including Subject Matter in minimalist and performance art, New Wave Rock and the Feminine and The City as Museum. Wallis' introduction identifies Graham's notion of historical memory - focusing on the context which defines an audience's interaction with cultural phenomenon - as the theme connecting the artist's criticism and personal practice as chronologically documented in this collection. 111 bibl. ref.
