Abstract

Much has been written on fundamentalism and let us accept that fundamentalism involves going back to fundamentals. Not having the same kind of fundamentals, as the three religions, i.e., Judaism, Christianity and Islam have; fundamentalism of the Hindus is quite different. There is no single creed or founder or book of the Hindus. Even the designation 'Hindu' is of non-Hindu origin. Traditionally, one has to be born a Hindu one is not made a Hindu.
