Screening of Trichoderma antagonistic strains to Tomato Botrytis cinerea and its evaluation of the control effect.

Abstract

By testing of the vitro and field plots to Tomato Botrytis cineren in 57 Trichoderma strains,the results showed that Trichoderma strains limited strongly the hypha growth of Tomato Botrytis cineren and the good strains of fungistatic action accounted for 45.61% in the all screened strains.The second,the strain of fungistatic action accounted for 6.90%.Mechanism of Trichoderma antagonistic strains to Botrytis cineren showed strongly the double parasitism.Trichoderma strains could release metabolic materials and eliminated the hypha of Botrytis cineren.Most of Trichoderma strains inhibited the spore germination and hypha growth of Botrytis cineren.During two years,the control effect of four strains of Trichoderma were over 60% in the field plots.They possessed excellent characteristics in the quick growth,early sporulate and high quantum of spore-production.They were good value Trichoderma strains.
