Abstract
2012年5月15日～18日に米国オレゴン州ポートランドで2012 International Research Congress on Integrative Medicine and Health (IRCIMH) が開催された。 主催はThe International Society for Complementary Medicine Research (ISCMR) およびConsortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine (CAHCIM) であった。 7つのワークショップ、 8つの全体セッション、 30のシンポジウム、 65の一般口演、 433のポスター発表が行われ、 参加者は約1000名であった。 NIH、 NCCAMからの研究費を受けた伝統医療・統合医療(Complementary and Alternative Medicine :CAM)の研究が数多く発表され、 その分野は鍼灸のみならずCAM全般に渡っていた。 なお本学会への参加は (社) 全日本鍼灸学会国際部からの予算で行った。
