Abstract

The article analyzes the state of geoinformatics and geomatics as a tool for the study of the world. This article describes the features of occurrence of geomatics and geoinformatics. This article describes the similarities and differences between Geoinformatics and geomatics. It is proved that these concepts are essentially synonymous. It is shown that Geomatics is more General with respect to the Geomatics. Marked the appearance of Geomatics engineering. It is shown that the Geoinformatics has an advantage in the global monitoring and management of mobile objects. The paper shows the structure of Geomatics in the form of E-tree with the following components: 1) fundamental basis of mathematical foundations of computer science, mathematics and Cybernetics; 2) methodological basis of the theory of subject areas of linguistics and geography; 3) theory, tech-niques and methods of display space the component responsible for collecting and processing information; 4) application component engineering values, considered as the application of information technology; 5) component, including generally accepted standards for the use and processing of information from the fields of Economics and law related to commercial activities, running and using all the preceding components.
