Abstract
The determination of conversion factors k(t), as functions of the time after end of exposure, to convert a measured ratio of U/sup 238//U/sup 235/ fission-product BETA activities to a true fission rate ratio is carried out by the double-fission-chamber method. The ratio of U/sup 238//U/sup 235/ fission- product BETA activities can be taken in place of the fission rate ratio using on the average a 60-min waiting time after the end of the exposure and a 10-min counting time. Under these circumstances, the average value of the conversion factor k(t) is found to be equal to unity. (auth)
