Abstract

Report presenting a wind-tunnel investigation at low speeds to determine the flight characteristics of a model of a sweptback-wing jet-transport airplane equipped with an external-flow jet-augmented slotted flap. Results regarding the longitudinal stability characteristics, longitudinal control characteristics, lateral stability characteristics, and lateral control characteristics are provided.
