Abstract

We have measured the energy spectra of protons emitted at angles 108 +- 7 and 135 +- 6 and energy spectra of deuterons emitted at angles 100 +- 2.5 and 130 +- 2.5 which are produced in the inclusive reactions /sup +- /A p(d)X at incident pion momenta 1.5 GeV/c. We have obtained an indication that there is a difference of about 4% between the slopes of spectra of protons emitted from nuclei in reactions induced by and mesons. The A dependence of the investigated reactions does not change with variation of the emission angle of cumulative protons or with change of the sign of the initial meson. The obtained experimental data are compared with the predictions of the secondary pickup and coalescence models. Analysis of the data gives evidence in favor of the domination of the secondary pickup mechanism at the incident- -meson momentum 1.5 GeV/c.
