Abstract
The principal types of corrosion-resistant stainless steels (SS) and special Ni-base alloys used in the chemical industry are reviewed. These include austenitlc steel alloyed with Mo, austenitic-ferritic steel, highly alloyed austenitic steel and Ni-base alloys. The Ni-base alloys are of interest because of their high-temperature corrosion resistance in concentrated suifuric and hydrochloric media. (tr-auth)
