Abstract
It is proposed that in the decays of pseudoscalar and vector mesons of the type P..-->..VV and V..-->..PV the anomaly connected with the triangular quark diagram dominates. This can be used to calculate the probability of such decays, in particular for V..-->..P+..gamma.., without introducing additional parameters. In the case of the usual mesons the agreement with experiment is found to be reasonable. In the application to the decays of the new particles, an estimate is made of the admixture of old quarks in the psi and of charmed quarks in the eta and eta'.
