Abstract
The prime farmland protecting work is double protections of both quality and quantity.The demarcation of prime farmland protection has no scientific method for quality appraisement but only by quantity.The agricultural land classification which based on land physical characters with scientific calculation methods is a technique that can work out the physical land quality grade.Based on it,the distribution of farmland quality was analyzed.Further more,the quality and planning prime farmland were researched in the paper.The application of physical land quality grade in the protection of prime farmland can supply quality appraisement to the farmland.It is propitious to realize the protection of prime farmland in quality and quantity.
