Distance Training in Gifted/Talented Education: Description of a Collaborative Working Model

This article describes a two-year staff development project in which teachers in rural areas of Utah were introduced to basic concepts about and strategies for gifted students. The collaborative training with the Utah State Office of foundation was designed to have a multiplier effect as the participants were encouraged to return to their respective schools and districts and become a resource to colleagues on issues related to serving the gifted.
