Abstract
Abstract An empirical approximation of differential cross sections for elastic proton–nucleus scattering over a wide energy range and for all target nuclei is proposed. In the region of low energies, the differential cross section for elastic proton–proton scattering is refined within the theory of direct nuclear reactions with allowance for the interference of electromagnetic and nuclear scattering amplitudes.
