This thesis is comprised of 3 parts: a feature article, a \nshorter communication, and appendices describing the tundra swans \n(Cygnus columbianus) summering in the northern Alaska Peninsula. The \nfeature article titled "Populations, structure and Productivity of \nTundra swans in the Northern Alaska Peninsula" presents findings from \ndata obtained primarily from aerial surveys during the spring and \nsummer 1969, and 1983-1987. The note, "Sightability Bias from Aerial \nsurveys of Tundra swans in the Northern Alaska Peninsula", describes \nwork conducted in 1986. The manuscripts have been prepared according \nto guidelines for The Journal of Wildlife Management (J. D. Gill and \nB. Healy, Wildl. Soc., Washington, D. C., 1980).
