Abstract
Scleral lenses are the large diameter rigid gas permeable lenses which have a large number of potential benefits, the dispensing of this lenses are increased exponentially over the last decade. Scleral lenses now-a-days are designed with the use of software and advanced manufacturing machines. This not only allow the eye care practitioner to design the lens on micro level but also increase the optical quality and comfort of the lens on eye. In the past, one major disadvantage of fitting scleral is chair time, skills and expense required to fit them. Scleral lenses are available in different diameters and sag values which helps ECP to fit lens accordingly. Scleral lens fitting philosophy differs from that of corneal GP lenses. Different scleral lenses may use different fitting methods.
