Abstract
Consideration is given to the main points of ''Sanitary regulations on conducting radiological studies'' N deg 2780-80, issued by the USSR Ministry of Health in 1981. The regulations comprise 7 chapters. ''The general aspects'', ' Requirements to X-ray cabinets and their layout'', ''Organization of X-ray department functioning'', ''Provision of radiation protection of patients and population'', ''Radiation survey'', ''Protection against nonradiation factor effects''. Observation of the mentioned regulations will enable to increase safety in radiological examinations and improve the personnel working conditions.
