Abstract
This paper analyzes the major factors of lower penetration rate in past several years in Exploratory well in Xihu Trough, the East China Sea. It briefly discusses the advanced technologies in Drilling and, high speed Drilling in Thailand Gulf and, in Offshore Oilfield, China. Additionally, it presents the way and suggestion to improve Penetration rate in Exploratory Well in Xihu Trough, the East China Sea.
