Abstract

Key Takeaways Setting guidelines and standards helps form a framework for providing safe, reliable drinking water, a prevalent concern throughout the world. The regulatory processes of seven nations, including the United States, were compared to determine the best practices and identify areas needing improvement. An assessment consisting of eight attributes was used to examine these nations’ steps in establishing and maintaining drinking water regulations.
