Abstract
A measure that quantifies the percent orthogonality of the central composite designs is proposed. This measure, which is expressible as a percentage, takes the value 100 if the design is orthogonal, and values less than 100 for less or reduced orthogonality. The measure is shown to be much more consistent and appropriate for assessing the percent orthogonality of the central composite designs than already-existing measures. The measure is also illustrated for the hybrid designs.
