Abstract

In recent years there has been a drastic increase in the number of vehicles available, due to the high mass of vehicles on roads leads to an increase in traffic and causes accidents. The main objective here is Communication where each vehicle can exchange and communicate with other vehicles and with the Road side unit (RSU). The RSU transmits real time data of different road scenarios to the nearby vehicles and if an accident has occurred the vehicle transmits the data to other vehicles within the ad-hoc range and to the traffic control room via RSU, so as to receive immediate medical assistance. This up-coming technology is referred to as Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) which helps in achieving this communication.
