Abstract
Taking a drum-type high-rise building as an example, aiming at its unique shape, novel appearance and distinctive national characteristics, taking the difficulties existing in structural fire resistance and fire protection design as the breakthrough point, on the premise of ensuring the structural fire resistance and building fire safety of the building, according to the relevant national codes and standards, based on the concept of structural reliability and intelligent fire protection, the structural fire-resistant materials, safe evacuation, fire climbing operation site and fire fighting facilities design are discussed. It is proposed that the coupling of fire and wind load should be fully considered in the design of similar drumtype high-rise buildings, and the new technologies of intelligent fire control should be actively applied to improve the structural reliability and fire safety.
