Abstract
Strategic planning is increasingly present in the research of scientists, discussing issues related to its necessity, usefulness, applicability, etc. Opinions are shared that strategic planning is difficult to implement in a dynamic environment and digital economy, where intelligent systems manage business much more precisely, and the benefits of strategic planning are increasingly being questioned. The main reasons for abandoning strategic planning are related to the relatively remote achievement of the planned goals over time and the difficulties in assessing their future impact and importance on the development of the organization. The higher degree of uncertainty in strategic planning leads to increased risks for the business, which negatively affects the motivation of managers to carry out this type of planning.Developing only business plans without a clear development strategy does not allow generating competitive advantages and long-term perspective. It covers business activities that take place within a certain period of time, but does not outline the map for the long-term development of the organization. In this sense, business planning should be seen as a tool for implementing strategic visions for organizational development. This requires the search for effective ways to link strategic planning and business planning within an organization. The report aims to present a conceptual model for ensuring integration between the two types of planning - strategic and business planning. Such a model can be the basis for a clearer presentation of the relationship between the various planning documents existing in an organization and would help to overcome the discrepancies between the various structural units responsible for their development and implementation. The report provides a comparative description of a wide range of planning software applications. The emphasis is on the scope of these applications in the context of the strategic - business planning relationship. Conclusions and summaries are made about the possibilities of strategic and business plans for achieving sustainable organizational development. The proposed conceptual model for ensuring integration between strategic and business planning in organizations is based on established statements in the field of planning science and their interpretation in the light of modern management concepts.Without going into details regarding the content of the strategic planning process, the report presents the logical relationship between the analysis of external and internal factors for the organization, the target framework and the elements of the business plan. This integration is basic in order to ensure the implementation of a strategically oriented long-term organizational policy, which should be reflected in the implemented business plans and lead to the desired results.
