Optometrists with general registration may use particular scheduled medicines for diagnostic purposes. Optometrists endorsed for scheduled medicines with the Optometry Board of Australia (OBA) may prescribe from a specified list of S2, S3 and S4 medicines in the therapeutic management of eye conditions.
