Nine chemical and control treatments were evaluated on a 11-year-old sward of Penncross® creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris) at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute in Guelph, Ontario during May, June and July 2004 for con- trol of Pythium root rot. In addition to untreated control treatment, the standard fungicide treat- ment: Heritage (6 g - 14 days), which is registered and recommended for control of Pythium root rot disease of turfgrass in Ontario was included. A natural outbreak of Pythium root rot was observed in early May, after which the trial was set up. No phytotoxicity was observed.
