Abstract
In this paper, the application of gas spark switch as a microsecond pulse source in plasma pulse technology is studied. The overall structure of the plasma pulse device is introduced, and the mechanism of each module is analyzed. The breakdown process of the gas spark switch is simulated numerically, and the distribution of plasma density at different times is analyzed. A preliminary discharge experiment was carried out in the laboratory, and the relevant current and voltage data were measured. The results show that the gas spark switch as a microsecond pulse source may have a good application prospect in plasma pulse technology.
