Research on Wastewater Processing and Disposal of Coke-Plant Wastes at AO VUKhIN

Abstract The laboratory of wastewater processing and disposal of coke-plant wastes at AO VUKhIN was organized in 1965 out of a need to process highly toxic coke-plant wastewater. It was originally called the laboratory of water and gas purification. The laboratory has enormous experience in wastewater processing; its scope is impressive. Today, the laboratory addresses not only coke-plant wastewater but also other industrial wastewater containing similar pollutants (phenols, thiocyanates, cyanates, ammonia, oil, etc.).
