Abstract

Malnutrition is common worldwide issue. Malnutrition contribute to 1/3rd mortality of children’s having age 6-59 months. While 54% child death is due to malnutrition and in Pakistan caseload is 46% that is still high. Research study consisted of both male and female child's having age 6-59 month will be included in the study. . In Pakistan malnutrition play considerable role in the child mortality and morbidity. This study is of great significance that identifies the possible risk factor for malnourished children having age 6 to 59 month of district Quetta having population of 1.8 million. The study was conducted with the objective to identify the nutritional status wasted children, nutrition status along with possible causing factor including socio-demographic status that leads to the severe acute malnutrition.
