Abstract

Language learning is inseparable from what linguists say about language. Some think that language is a phenomenon that can be divided into separate parts will pay more attention to how to understand each division. Linguistics is an applied language science focused on various and complex areas of society in which language has a role to play, and therefore it is common ground that education linguistics leads to integration in the linguistic world and the world of education, especially in education, training, and education as an interdisciplinary science. This study seeks therefore to gain an overview of the link between language acquisition and schooling. The method used to collect and analyze research data is the descriptive analysis method. From the study results, it was found that educational linguistics is still related to applied linguistics because there is a reciprocal integration between the world of linguistics and education, especially in teaching, learning, and planning the Indonesian language. There are differences in applied linguistics leading to linguistics in language teaching in schools and translation. In contrast, educational linguistics is part of a broader range of micro-linguistics and macro linguistics activities.
