Installation of waterproofing system at Recreation Centre, 45th floor, Menara Maybank / Muhammad Farhan Mohd Sofi

This whole report is about the Waterproofing System application used on the design and built project for the Recreation Centre on the 45th and 45M floor of Maybank Tower. The purpose of this report is to learn more knowledge and gain new information about how the waterproofing is apply, the method used in the application of waterproofing and how to choose the correct waterproofing system based on the usage of the area. In Chapter 1, the general view of the background of building and company along with the building and company profile. Besides that, the chapter also includes the organization chart of the current Maybank Tower Building Management Section and also the elevation of the building that determine by the point of east and west. The location of the building also has been included within the chapter. Next is Chapter 2, the chapter consists of entirely literature review on the waterproofing. Within chapter, the different types of waterproofing and methods are shows depending on the application area. Some of the equipment used are also been included by following the most use system of waterproofing. Differentiate between dam proofing and waterproofing is also included as a highlight of the differences. Furthermore, the case study of the waterproofing system is written within Chapter 3. In this chapter, the types and methods of application are showing to develop and understanding how the job is put on practically. The equipment and the specification of the waterproofing are also included as additional understanding of types used by the contractor. Lastly, Chapter 4 includes the problems and recommendation that occurs during or before the application of waterproofing and the maintenance system of the building. And Chapter 5 shows the conclusion that can be made based on the case study.
