Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) continues to play a critical role with a rapid increase in connected devices. Fog computing, accompanied by the edge paradigms for computing such as cloudlet, mobile edge, and multi-access edge computing (MEC), provide solutions to manage massive volume of time-sensitive and security-critical data produced by the IoT. The centralized cloud computing experiences various network challenges such as high latency which is not sufficient to meet the rigorous of IoT applications.
