The Impact of Hazardous Waste and Its Management in China

Hazardous waste is an important problem facing China at present. With the continuous development of industrialization, the quantity of hazardous waste is increasing year by year. The accumulation and storage of hazardous waste will have a negative influence on social development and human health, and seriously affect the sustainable development of the social economy. The treatment and disposal of hazardous waste are imminent. This paper summarizes the current situation, types and hazards of hazardous waste in China, analyses the existing problems in hazardous waste management in China and explores the causes. Finally, in view of the existing problems, corresponding countermeasures are proposed, in the hope of providing some references for promoting the improvement of the hazardous waste management level.
