Abstract
In this research, anthropic activities were identified and the changes that they generate in the mangrove forest of the coastal profile of the Manabi province were analyzed during the periods 2000, 2010 and 2020. Using Landsat 7 and 8 images, the respective compositions were made, and then carry out a supervised classification that facilitated the realization of a report, where the anthropic activities were identified (such as deforestation, agricultural / agricultural land, populated area and shrimp ponds), which over the years generated the main related activities with losses and changes in the mangrove cover. As of 2000, the requirements of compliance with environmental and forestry regulations that govern these activities are put into operation. In that year there were 1.79 hectares of mangroves and in 2020, it increased to 4.24 hectares; in the same sense, vegetation is increasing, increasing by 54%, unlike bodies of water, whose coverage decreases due to human pressure with 45%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
