Development Situation and Path Rebuilding of Rural Public Cultural Space based on the Construction of Small Towns with Distinctive Cultures

Abstract

The public cultural space in the countryside mainly includes the original type and the embedded type. Under the background of urban-rural spatial separation, accelerated social flow and unsmooth circulation of cultural elements, rural public cultural space is facing the continuous weakening of cultural subject, gradual weakening of cultural charm and alienation of cultural development path. In order to speed up the development of rural public cultural space and explore ways to reshape rural public cultural space in the next period, combining the unique spatial characteristics and resource endowment of characteristic small towns, the author uses qualitative analysis method to put forward that small towns with distinctive cultures, as an important component of characteristic small towns, are a new space carrier to promote the integration and development of urban and rural areas, which carry many potential potencies in promoting urban-rural interaction and the bidirectional flow of cultural elements between urban and rural areas, and are an effective path choice for reconstructing rural public cultural spaces.
