Abstract
This slide aims to identify the differences between metaphor and simile. This is a part of figurative language that deviates from the conventional order and meaning in order to convey a complicated meaning, colorful writing, clarity, and it also uses an ordinary sentence to refer to something without directly stating or without it. Understanding figurative language is an important part of reading the poetry or poem.
