EFFECT OF SEVERITY AND TIME OF PRUNING ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF CUSTARD APPLE.

In the present investigation entitled “Effect of severity and time of pruning on growth, yield and quality of custard apple” was studied. Custard apple tree is due to heavy load of fruits to maintain to canopy management to applied some pruning treatments to high and most of the production of Annona crops. Different pruning treatments on different dates on effect of growth, yield and quality of that fruit crops .In Custard apple Pruning is important tool to custard apple plantation management as it allows the producer to restrain the exuberant vegetative growth of custard apple to manageable size and forms which is important to control production management and harvest costs, synchronize vegetative growth for more efficient management and sales season. In new shoots maximum number of fruits and fruit weight have more than control tree. Pruning in custard apple is one of the most important practice influencing the vigour, productivity and quality of fruits. Pruning improves not only the fruit quality but it also required at early stage to build up a strong framework in order to increased fruit bearing area of tree become weak and both fruit size and quality impaired.
