Sociotopic component of the socio-economic potential of rural areas

Abstract The article presents a model for the development of rural socio-economic space. It proceeds from the idea of rural areas as complex natural, socio-economic systems. An important direction of the current stage of socio-economic development of rural areas is to eliminate the gap in the quality of life of the urban and rural population of the country. At the same time, an important factor is the ongoing changes in the agrarian economy, which must also meet the social transformations of rural areas. The proposed model for the development of rural socio-economic space and the algorithm for its use is based on the identification and differentiated elimination of problem areas of this space in accordance with the established standards of quality of life in rural areas.
