Organizacija javnog gradskog prijevoza u gradu Zagrebu

This paper presents a study of the organizational structures of urban public transport and the entire urban transport systems (bus, railway and taxi system). The problems faced by public city transport on a daily basis were also analyzed. The increase in individual automobile transport in towns causes a decrease in travel speed, irregularity of public transport operation and it has also an impact on passengers in public transport. There is also congestion that prevents the accessibility to the destination points, especially those that are located in the city centre. A special review is presented by the analysis of spatial distributions and operational characteristics of the vehicle fleet for bus, railway and taxi lines, which clearly shows the organization of public urban passenger transport in the city of Zagreb.
