Abstract

In this work, marine algae species which were collected in 1998 on the coastline between Sinop and Ayancik were investigated. Totally 206 algae species were determined. Eight of them belonging to blue-green algae (Cyanophyta), 109 to red algae (Rhodophyta), 42 to brown algae (Ochrophyta) and 47 to green algae (Chlorophyta).
