Abstract

Left atrial myxoma is the most common pri-mary tumor in the heart(1).The diagnosis ofatrial myxoma is rarely made on clinical groundsalone.This is particularly true in the elderly,asmost symptoms are easily attributed to senility.We describe in this report an 81-year-old Chinesewho was found to have a/eft atrial myxoma andwas successfully treated by surgery.
