Abstract

The present study was conducted to estimate the concentration of lead and cadmium element in gill andmuscle of fish Cyprinus carpio in three fish farms derive their water from Garraf channel, a branch ofthe Tigris River in the province of DhiQar. The results of the present study that the concentration of traceelements (cadmium and lead) in the gills was higher than delimiters standard for joining the World Healthwhere it is dangerous for human consumption, either in the muscles was lower concentration of them in thegills, we conclude from this study that fish consumption Farm at the present time does not cause markeddamage but in the future cause a problem should be avoided.
