Abstract
There are two intensity anomalies worth studying in great earthquake occurring in China. One is Yutian Intensity 6,i. e. low intensity anomaly in Tangshan earthquake, the other is Hanyuan Inlensity 9,i. e. high intensity anomaly in Wenchuan earthquake. This paper reviews the study progress of intensity anomaly, makes a detailed summary of the geological structure background, damage characteristics and formation reason about the two anomalous regions, and contrasts the anomalous formation cause from many aspects. This paper also proposes further research on the formation cause and distribution law of intensity anomaly, which may give a reference to comprehensive research on intensity anomaly in the future.
