Abstract
In the LED side lighting of LCD(Liquid Crystal display)backlight module,in order to reduce the influence from the non-mixed area near the light source for the effective uniform illuminating area of the light guide plate,the micro structure on the incident surface of light guide plate is studied.A micro-prism film with prisms array is designed without changing the distance between LED and incident surface,as well as the spacing between adjacent LEDs,it is pasted on the incident surface of the light guide plate.The results show when the apex angle of prism is 105°,the emission angle is the largest.The astigmatism of micro-prism film can reduce the non-light mixed area from original 4mm to 2mm.It increases the light mixing zone area near the light source effectively.This research is significant to the micro structure design on the incident surface of the side lighting backlight module.
