Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between IT and technology management capabilities. Can we idenhfi werences in the organizational capabilities acquired or accumulated by firms according to the extent of their technology usage? A survey conducted with a group of SMEs finds that there is signijicantly more emphasis on technology management capabilities in jhs with a higher level of IT penetration. These results raise the issue of the iqmtance for firms to invest both in IT and in acquiring the organisatwnal capabilities in technology management. lhtroduction
