Abstract
Genetic divergence was measured by Mahalanobis's D2 and principal component analysis in 36 varieties obtained from ten major chickpea growing States of India. The varieties were grouped into 9 different clusters. The cluster of desi group was quite diverse from kabuli ones. Further independent classification by principal component analysis confirmed the classification derived by D8 analysis.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
