Abstract
[Objective] To study the status of smoking and smoking control of medical professionals in Fangshan district in Beijing,in order to provide the evidence for smoking control in medical institutions and enhance the medical staff's ability of smoking control service.[Methods] Adopted systematic sampling,and the questionnaire was used to research more than 600 medical professionals in four hospitals in Fangshan district.[Results] The smoking prevalence was 18.5% and the current smoking prevalence was 17.3% of the medical staff,in which middle-aged and youth male doctors were main groups,and about 31.8% of them smoked in front of patients.It was not completely comprehended that smoking was harmful to health among them.The attitude to smoking control of most medical staff was active,but because 73.3% of the medical staff wasn't trained about smoking control,the ability of smoking control was not high.[Conclusion] It must strengthen smoking control in medical institutions and the training about smoking control in the medical staff,in order to enhance the medical staff' s ability of smoking control service.
