Abstract

An ontogenetic study of 4 genera (Ascochyta,Phyllosticta, Phomopsis,Septoria) in Sphaeropsidales was made under cultural condition by light microscopes.Conidiogenous cells of some species were observed by transmission electronmicroscopes. Observation results show that sporogensis of the Ascochyta andPhyllosticta is enteroblastic-phialidic (eb-ph), of Phomopsis is holoblstic-Phialidic, andof Septoria is holoblastic-sympodial. The results may provide reliable criteria fortaxonomy at genus level.
