PENGARUH IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PRAKTIK KEPERAWATAN PROFESIONAL (MPKP) TERHADAP MUTU ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN DI RSUP DR SARDJITO YOGYAKARTA

Nursing service is an integrally part of health service and has big role in achieving efficiency, quality, and hospital image because nursing care is a central point of nursing service that accomplished for 24 hours and nursing staff is one of the biggest number of health profession manpower in hospital. The study was aimed to explore whether the implementation of professional nursing practice model using team-primer method influenced the quality of nursing care in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta. Nursing care quality was obtained by nurse obedience toward nursing care standard implementation and patient perception toward the implementation or the intervention of nursing. The method of the study was an experimental quasi method with control. The design of the study was before and after design with quantitative approach. The population of the study was patient and medical record file in internal disease of First inpatient installation nursing room in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital that fulfill the criteria. The sample of the study was 73 patient and 73 medical record. The result of the study showed significance influence of Professional Nursing Practice Model implementation using team-primer method toward nursing care quality. This result was based on the result of statistical test that showed that after the implementation of Professionals nursing practice model, the nurse obedience toward the implementation of Nursing Care Standard and the patient perception toward the implementation/intervention of nursing were significance (p<0.05). The study concluded that professionals nursing practice model implementation using team-primer was suit to be implemented in Dr. Sardjito General Hospital. Beside to increase the quality, it was expected that nursing care could be justificated professionally. The study suggested that developing professional nursing practice model using team-primer method can be used as a basic to determine the policy of nursing care in dr. Sardjito General Hospital and other hospital, nursing room of professional nursing practice model implementation was conducive area t o develop clinical practice and nursing study so that each nurse, including nursing students need to know it in order to improve themselves the nursing room.
