Abstract
This paper analyses the profit model of scenic spots from the core business profitability, basic services profitability, value-added business profitability. On the basis of this analysis, this paper researches the profit model of tourist site listed companies in China and its effects on business performance. The research finds that profit model shows significant correlation relationship with scenic spots performance; compared to increasing the core business profitability of scenic spots, increasing its basic services profitability is more efficient; there is not particularly evident difference between increasing core business profitability and improving value-added business profitability. Therefore, scenic area managers should not firstly consider raising ticket prices, but should strengthen the scenic spots' service ability, improve people's travel experiences, and implement product innovation and diversified development, and establish the whole industry value chain profit model, which is a basic service-based profit model, integrating core business and value-added business.
