Abstract

The encapsulation of sephadex beads by hemocytes from Helicoverpa armigera ( Hubner ) was investigated. The encapsulation mechanism differed for different kinds of sephadex beads. H. armigera hemocytes have strong ability to encapsulate sephadex A-25; encapsulation began rapidly and ended 12 h post-injection.
